Just Gets Better With Age!!!
An amazing evening at a beautiful college town with lots of things to do, favorite performer in an intimate historic venue; everything came together for an evening that won't be forgotten.
Their humble, easy-going style added to the enjoyment as Periphery sang the classics plus some more obscure songs in a voice that just gets better with age. They started right on the dot, took a short break half-way through and seemed genuinely thankful that the audience took time to come hear them play.
Saying that their guitars were their "setlist," sometimes we had to wait to listen to a favorite as they seemed amused as those present called out songs that they wanted to hear. The stories they told along the way provided humor and a glimpse into their lives.
His piano playing broke my heart with its soulful, minor notes and his guitar playing was amazing, Mr. Browne stated that he hadn't been feeling well, but it wasn't evident to me. He seemed comfortable onstage and changed up some of his renditions to allow for a voice that has mellowed over the years.
Easily the best concert I have attended in years.
